Tuesday, August 29th

Greetings!

Today, our class did a few more housekeeping things such as rating the condition of the textbooks. Students also reviewed the concept of restitution which is our model of discipline at LES where students and teachers work together to fix mistakes if they happen. We made a list of tasks that are the job of the teacher as well as a list for the students. You will have a chance to see these when you come next week if not earlier.

Students also made art folders for their projects this year and had an action-packed physical education class.

Homework for tomorrow:

1) Journeys in Math 6 - Pages 4-5 (Most of the students completed this at school during classtime.)

Enjoy the beautiful evening and I'll see you tomorrow!

The First Day of School!

It was so nice to meet everyone today. Our class did lots of organizing today and the highlight seemed to be getting lockers for the first time. I sent home several notes with the students. It would be greatly appreciated if you could please fill out the forms that were sent home as quickly as possible.

As I mentioned in my note home, please have your child bring a water bottle to keep on their desks if they haven't brought one already.

The "Meet the Teacher Night" will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 7:30pm. I look forward to meeting you then!
